Visitor Centre (2010)
Druk Padma Karpo School

with Basic Initiative & Dalhousie University 

 

A project led by Basic Initiative’s Sergio Palleroni, and Dalhousie University’s Christine Macy and Sarah Bonnemaison. Our task was to design and build a “visitor centre” for the Druk Padma Karpo School for tourists. Since it appeared in Aamir Khan’s Bollywood hit -the “3 Idiots” tourists were flocking the school and disturbing the 500+ students who were there trying to learn.

We spent a month researching and building the structure above with the help of locals.
